Eventually, Hunter’s probationary period following his release from prison ended. Now able to enter the cannabis industry legally, he founded CannaCraft in 2014.

CannaCraft did encounter subsequent legal difficulties when federal police officers raided their legal headquarters in 2016. The official explanation for the police raid was that authorities were concerned that butane was being used in the processing. This accusation was proven false.
